Writing the breakup letter/text/email/tweet is hard……or maybe not………..
This is an unusual book project: Thousands of love letters have been compiled and published into hundreds of books, but little has been published on the ways we break up. We think this is weird, considering how many of us have some award-winning break-up stories. So we want to include YOUR experiences of when relationships went sour: from saying “it’s over, John” in red lipstick on his bathroom mirror, to when your boss asked you to stay late again, and something in you just snapped…
What is your most memorable or meaningful breakup story? THE WORLD WANTS TO KNOW!
Here are some ideas of what we want:
- A screen shot of your tweets back and forth, leading up to the big end
- An email (long and pulsating with anger or short and sweet)
- Your description of how you quit, were fired, or laid-off
- Your description of how a relationship with a loved one ended (short memoir essays can be submitted)
- How you fired or laidoff an employee
- Your letters, Facebook messages, Instagrams
- Evidence they cheated
